Office of the CIO
The office of the CIO is responsible for overseeing the strategic and tactical direction of the department. The CIO is responsible for IT governance designed to enable highly effective technology and support systems. Along with the four directors, the CIO will provide vision and direction for the department.

Student Applications Group
Student applications is responsible for supporting SASIxp, the District’s student information system. SASIxp is used to gather attendance and grade reporting data from our campuses. This information is used to generate report cards, transcripts, and provides data for the state PEIMS submission.

Finance Applications and Operations Group
Finance applications and operations is responsible for supporting CIMS, the financial and human resources information system. CIMS is primarily used for personnel management, budget control, payroll, purchasing. Also included are applications supporting CIMS such as Kronos Time and Attendance System, the Substitute Finder System, and others. In addition the Operations group provides support for large scale printing, including report cards, reports and label generation.

Technology Infrastructure
Technology Infrastructure is composed of three main areas. Network services provides support for all wide and local area network connections. network resources Telecommunications services provides support for data lines, phones, cell phones and pagers maintained by Fort Worth ISD. Field support services provide desktop and network user support. They provide basic application support where required and provide hardware and software repair and troubleshooting and problem escalation services

User Support Services
User support services provides first call help desk support, problem resolution and escalation services and support for campuses for computer or printer problems, application support, or connectivity issues . In addition, User Support Technicians work closely with SASIxp and CIMS to help them use the software to perform their jobs. The User Support group also conducts training for new and experienced users of administrative software.
